The Empire State Building - New York City
Yours truly, standing on top of the world at the observation deck of the Empire State Building in New York City. What a great day to take in the sights of Manhattan and surrounding NY City boroughs. I didn't let the cold temperature keep me from experiencing the great views on this visit and I hope that no matter what time of year you go to this great city you make an effort to get to the top for yourself.
Completed in 1931, and towering above the rest of the city at an amazing 1,454 feet, the Empire State Building consists of 102 floors making it one of the tallest in the world. Taking the elevator ride up to the indoor and outdoor observation decks is well worth the $32 fee. Plan on spending a couple of hours to make your time more enjoyable and see everything. There is plenty of history and architecture to learn about as you make your way to the top as well. If possible, avoid going to the top on a cloudy day to ensure your views aren't obstructed.
Getting to the top of the Empire State Building is an experience you will never forget and I highly recommend it to anyone coming to New York City.
