One of my favorite museums in Rome is the beautiful Borghese Gallery. This museum is a must see when you visit Rome. The collection was gathered by Cardinal Scipione. He was a lover of art and the entire Gallery is living proof of his passion to collect the most beautiful works in Italy.

Tickets to enter the museum must be purchased in advance. I recommend that you order online in advance of your visit to Rome because reservations are limited and the Gallery sells out daily.
It's also a good idea to purchase the audio guide to really give you a great experience when you tour the museum and see the beautiful works of the masters.

The Rape of Proserpine by Bernini is one of the collections most famous statues. The ability to produce this beauty from a solid block of marble is amazing. Bernini was a true genius.

My husband dreamed about Rome all his life and finally on September 21, we landed in Italy. Our hotel is located near the Termini train station, it was not hard to get to it with http://kiwitaxi.com/Italy/Rome. I love Rome and want to back there soon.
