Madrid - Sights Around the City

There is so much to see and experience in Madrid and I encourage everyone to visit this great city. Madrid is rich in history and culture. The beautiful architecture, wonderful food, and friendly people make Madrid one of my favorite cities and I will go back often.

Oh, and did I mention the food? Delicious Spanish cuisine awaits those who come to Madrid. Some of the best meals I have ever experienced are here. Don't be afraid to try new things!

On every avenue there is something of interest. Statues, fountains, art, plazas, great architecture, it's all here in Madrid. Madrid does not disappoint. Give yourself plenty of time to stroll the streets and explore. Visit the palace, the Prado Museum, and the beautiful Plaza Mayor. Take the Hop, Hop Off Bus Tour and relax while your are driven to neighborhoods you might not necessarily see on your own.

To really enhance your visit to Madrid do some research before you get here. Travel books, the Internet, and word of mouth are great ways to gain insight on this beautiful city before you arrive so you can make the most of your time here.

Once you've visited Madrid I think it will become one of your favorite cities too.
