Mexico City has a rich history spanning many centuries and many great cultures so a visit to the National Museum of Anthropology is a must. This is one of the most beautiful museums I have visited. Located in Chapultepec Park, the grounds and the buildings are beautiful and the ancient works are displayed tastefully.

This castle is perched high above the grounds of  Chapultepec Park and was the residence of Mexico's Presidents from 1864 - 1939. The Castillo de Chapultepec houses many lavishly decorated rooms that let you get a glimpse into how Mexico's rulers lived.

Once you reach the top you are rewarded with 360 degree views of the entire area and you really gain respect for those that constructed this huge pyramid without machinery.

Those that read my blog regularly know a favorite travel activity of mine is riding the Hop On, Hop Off Bus Tours that are offered in almost every large city world wide. Mexico City is very large and spread out making the bus tour a great way to get around town and see the beautiful architecture and various neighborhoods of the city center.

When riding these bus tours be sure to wear the head sets to get the narrated tour and if possible grab a seat on the upper deck so you won't miss a sight.
