Moon jellies. While snorkeling one trip on St John in the US Virgin Islands the water was so thick with moon jellies I had to use my underwater camera to move them out of the way to keep from getting stung. Even after a couple of hours in the water with thousands I didn't get stung once and as I recall the experience was well worth the risk.
