Palatine Hill is one of the seven hills in Rome and probably the most famous. Rome first became a city on the Palatine Hill in 753 B.C. Ancient Roman Emperors built their palaces one on top of the other for centuries.

Mussolini ruled from 1922-1943 and built his home and headquarters ontop of the Palatine Hill. The structures Mussolini had built still stand and are now museums.

The eagle was one of the symbols of the ancient Roman empire. Later Mussolini and Nazi Germany used this symbol and it can be seen here on the home of Mussolini.
